That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive workflow that ensures our client’s vision is realised with precision and efficiency. Here’s a step-by-step look at how we turn your concept into reality:

Client Brief

The process begins when we receive the client’s initial request for service and they describe the overall project requirements and expectations. They’ll likely cover what they’d like to achieve and how this piece fits into a wider project or goal. At this stage, they might not be that familiar with photogrammetry and its capabilities and therefore seeking further information about what’s possible for their specific case.

Initial Meeting: Clarifying Goals

We hold a detailed meeting to clarify project objectives, timelines, and any challenges that might arise. This ensures that all stakeholders are on the same page before work begins. This meeting will include making sure that we understand exactly what the end product needs to be and how it will be used while also ensuring that the client understands all the requirements of the process to achieve this.

Ideation, Storyboarding, and Refining Ideas (optional)

For creative and complex projects, we brainstorm ideas and create storyboards or sketches to visualize the concept. This is the stage where creativity meets structure, ensuring your project has a strong foundation. Before decisions are made, we run these ideas past the client to ensure that it is meeting their vision for the project.

Estimate

Once we are certain we understand the goals and plans for the project, we can let the client know the estimated costs before moving ahead with capture and production.

Photography Strategy Planning

Based on the client brief and storyboard, we develop a photography strategy tailored to the project. This includes determining equipment (e.g., drones, DSLRs), optimal lighting conditions, and the best angles for capturing the subject. Photography strategy can differ widely depending upon the subject being captured (eg. room interiors, landscapes, objects).

Image Capture

If photography is required by the client for the project (ie. they are not providing the photography themselves) our team conducts the image capture, whether it’s photographing an artifact, a building, or a large landscape. This step involves collecting high-resolution images from various angles to ensure maximum detail.

Image Processing

The captured or received images are processed using advanced software such as Agisoft Metashape or RealityCapture to generate initial 3D models. This involves steps like photo alignment and point cloud generation.

Model Assessment

We thoroughly assess the preliminary model for accuracy, resolution, and completeness. Any gaps or errors are identified and addressed before moving forward.

Post-Production

The model undergoes further refinement, including texture generation, cleaning, and optimization. At this stage, we ensure the model is clean, detailed, and aligned with the project’s technical requirements.

Specialized Post-Production

Depending on the project’s needs, we offer additional services like retopology, texture modifications, or optimisation and integration into game engine platforms.

First Delivery and Feedback

We deliver the first draft of the 3D model for client review. This is their opportunity to provide initial feedback and suggest adjustments to ensure the project is headed in the right direction.

Adjustments

Based on client feedback, we refine the model to meet their expectations. This iterative process ensures that the final result aligns perfectly with the client’s vision.

Second Delivery and Feedback

We present the revised model for a second round of feedback. This ensures that all adjustments have been made and no details have been overlooked.

Final Delivery

After incorporating any remaining feedback, we deliver the final 3D model and associated assets in the preferred format. This is the completed product, ready for use in the client’s project.

Final Feedback and Debrief

We conclude the project with a debrief to review the process, gather client feedback, and discuss the final results. This helps us improve our services and ensures the client is completely satisfied.
